The Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission are pleased to welcome Merrill Holden to the team as a Project Manager.
“We are excited that Merrill has joined us for this opportunity,” says Dan Culhane, President and CEO of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission. “He has a terrific educational background, coupled with his interest in building a more hands-on understanding of community and economic development, which made him a logical choice to help us with some very important projects. We are pleased to have him aboard!”
As the Project Coordinator, Holden will be supporting the research activities of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission related to marketing. This position also manages the economic development programming by tracking and maintaining data on sites, buildings, and other information that supports the marketing and existing industry programs of the AEDC.
“I am beyond honored and thrilled to be an additional hand in managing some of our research projects and shedding light on the exponential growth and development that has been proceeding here in Ames,” says Holden.
Holden originates from Chicago, IL and received his B.S. in General Studies from Louisiana Tech University in 2016. Holden then went on to receive his Master of Science in City/Urban, Community & Regional Planning from Iowa State University in 2018.
